Egg question

sijae Jun 30, 2003 11:38 PM

I have some eggs in the incubator and so far they are doing great - nice color, growing etc. They are in a container per albey's instructions and I also put a little black line on the top as he suggests so I know which way is up. Well I checked on them yesterday and the line had moved to the side and was at about a 45 degree angle. Worried about drowning, I moved it back upright. The egg is moving from the forces inside as there are not any other eggs nearby and no other babies hatching in there. Today I checked back with it and it looks like it is moving to the side again. I haven't touched it as now I am afraid that rotating it could cause the baby to drown. Anyone know if I should let the egg move the way it does naturally or try to keep it upright?

My opinion is that you ought to just let it be--watch your moisture levels, though, you don't want to overdo it--too much moisture can cause excessive swelling of the eggs.
