Frilled agama...

SCVReptiles Nov 19, 2004 09:10 PM

Hi, is anyone familiar with the agama's of Africa, and possibly China? About ten years ago my friend imported these great little agamas that would vibrate and bury themselves in the sand and had small frills in the corner of their mouths that they would flare out when they were threatened. I can't remember the common or latin names on these guys. I unfortunately couldn't get them to acclimate at the time and want to try again. If anyone knows what species I'm talking about any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ken

I think I know what you're talking about. We were just talking about it. I wish I could figure out a way to send you straight to that post. But if you scroll down about half way down the page in this forum, look for the post called, "Where can I buy a "Phrynocephalus mystaceus" You have to see this pic!!!!!!!!"
That's gotta be the one you're talking about.

Mike, thanks for the response. That's the one I'm talking about! Now that I have the genus/species maybe I can track them down again.
