Commercial Gutloads

Walker360 Nov 19, 2004 11:34 PM

Right now I am feeding my crickets collard greens, and I have a little bit of commercial gutload I got with some crickets I ordered. I was wondering if there is a commercial gutload I can buy that's better than feeding them vegetables? I have to give them a lot of veggies because they go bad real quick, so I'm thinking a commercial gutload may be better for me, I just need to know which one is good or recommended.
Thanks.

I use Sticky Tongue Farms' gutload. It's not like another gutload which you would use as the crickets' sole food. I suppose you could but it would run out in a month or two and it's 7 or 8 bucks for a can.

The night before or the morning of a feeding day, I fill up a dish with about a teaspoon of the mixed gutload and the 1-200 crickets chow down and are about as gutloaded as they'll get for another day or two.

I throw in potato slices, romaine or other leafy greens, and oranve slices etc. for extra moisture.

I have had good results with this stuff and apparently you don't need a multivitamin supplement if you use it. I don't and the chams are VERY good looking! I took a look at the nutrition facts on the back and its quite loaded.
