Feeding anoles to CWD

DeviledApple Nov 20, 2004 01:17 AM

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there are any "certain" adverse affects to making anoles the main staple of his diet. I include crickets and other misc feeders (i always have a variety from my cham...) but i mostly give him anoles, and he seems to love them. Will the bigger ones he cant eat stress him? i thought they added more life to the cage, and i figured since they eat whatever bugs he doesnt, and are just older versions of what *he* eats, it shouldnt bother him any, but then again, what do i know? These guys are just common brown anoles (the ones all over florida..) they top out at about 2 inches STV, so dont grow big enough to do him any physical harm or be a threat to him in any way.

If the anoles are wild caught, they most certainly carry parasites which can make your dragon very sick.

most of my anoles are CH, since the eggs are abundant around my house. They live in their own tank, all of htem look and act healthy, and i just occasionally drop some into his cage.

I dont't know about the nutrition in anoles or if they are ok to feed, but I don't think that you should have bigger anoles in the cage. If the dragon don't eat them, maybe he will bite them or they could stress eachother.
