i have about 3 years of experience with reptiles, and ive read practically everything i can get my hands on. i breed leos, corns, and rosy boas, and ive kept a bearded dragon. i really want to get into gilas, theyre beautiful. i have a few questions...

1. how aggressive are they?

2. how large of an enclosure do they require?

3. are they easy to breed?

4. where can i find enough info to get me ready for one of these guys?

your head will collapse, but there's nothing in it, and you'll ask yourself, "where is my mind"

They aren't a real touchy feely pet. The venom is not as bad as a lot of people think, though a bite is no picnic. I haven't found them to be too aggressive, though they will let you know if you've pushed them too far. My 2 always hiss at me before any attempt to bite. As for housing, I have fairly large enclousures for them. In the wild, they do spend up to 99% of their time underground, so I do have easily accessible dens for them. When designing dens, make sure it is something that you can open easily without sticking your fingers in the wrong place. I personally don't breed mine or have any intention of doing so. I also recommend microchipping. Both of mine were microchipped by the state (arizona).
