RepCal Pellets

aimee_s Nov 20, 2004 05:11 PM

sorry, just a newb question coz i'm starting out...

i understand that it'll take a while to get beardies started on eating the RepCal pellets and i've heard it's quite possible to raise beardies on those and some veggies as well.

how successful is this? i figure that they won't be getting some of the nutrients they would from eating crix, but i've heard a few success stories.

i don't have a beardie just yet and, to me, it seems that pellets are just easier and would be cleaner with less of a hassle. any ideas are welcome!

We start all of our beardies eating pellet with their salad from a few days old. I do think that it is important to still offer live food though. The cases that I've seen where they were raised just on pellet and salad showed slower growth and took longer to get to full size, but they did eventually get there.
