I like cypress mulch, its easy with spot cleaning, but its really messy. Newspaper is good to, but you would have to provide a humidity box for your bp.

All newspaper is bleached white with Chlorine. When the BP's urea is absorbed, chlorine gas is released. Why not use Aspen Bedding.
