Hey guys, one of my Phants has been in shed for a few days now. The humidity is at exactly 80%. Should I help him shed by peeling the skin off? Thanks! Brooks

whenever i find a gecko that has an incomplete shed, i make it a point to help get any last bits off because if you let it stay on there, dead skin will build up beneath and probably would eventually lead to greater problems with shedding.
Although they hate it, I have found it easier to peel away dead skin after letting the animal soak in about an inch of rm temp water... as a matter of fact, a lot of the time the skin falls off on its own... Simply put the gecko in a tote for awhile... I have done this with several different species, but never Uroplatus...
