hey everybody...i just wanted to show yall a few pix of my new baby leo ;D wow she's beautiful...

Looks to me like she's a high yellow...not sure tho still new to diciphering morphs...could be a mixture of high yellow and something else? Not sure...but i'm pretty sure she's a high yellow ;]

oh yea something i noticed...why is it petsmarts and petco's carry mostly if not all female leo's? Every one i've seen has nothing but females lol...jus some insight...

anyway...thanks for looking @ my post and any responses ahead of time ;]

your gecko is way too little to sex or to judge what morph/phase/color s/he is. it's practically a hatchling. to know for sure, you relaly ahve to wait until it's 2-3 years, as a leo's color can change throughout it's lifetime. but you can make a pretty good guess when it's 4-5 months old. it is very cute, though.

chain petstores sell mostly female leos for space economy- you can't house (mature) males together, they'll kill each other. females will mostly put up with it, but fights still occur if there are size differences (thus the high frequency of missing/regrown tails in shops that house leos together).

Well most of the leos you buy from petco are too young to sex. We bought a couple there and 2 turned out to be males, so you can't just assume they are all females. But you are right in saying that most are females.

I bought 2 baby albinos from PetCo and both turned out to be male, so who knows.
