Hello,
Can someone point me in the right direction for an on-line, or shop/breeder in SE Va.,that sells normal variety and accurately sexed ball pythons? I love the morphs, but don't have the kind of money for a first time breeder's excursion with them. I'd like to try my hand at breeding a pair or 1.2 of some common balls first. Any help would be appreciated.

if your looking to just get some normals i would go to classifieds here on kingsnake. you can buy from rept. dealer and even with shipping you will prob. get a better price then say going to petsmart, or petco. and you will have the next day. if you dont want to do that, get a copy of reptiles mag. in the back they have monthly lists of where and when shows are - i know there are some there in VA. then you can at least talk to the breeders and get a lot of tips on how to care for.

Go with a breeder, not a pet store. We had Bob ship us a normal Royal hachling about three months ago. It arrived healthy and has been a great eater. It also cost less than 1/2 the local price for Royals and that included shipping charges to AK.
There are a lot of other breeders out there, so shop around and find someone who you're comfortable to do business with. Bob Clark was great to deal with, and I would use him again in a second.
The last hatchlings i bought were from TopShelf Exotics,and i could not be happier.
