yea, when i need cage moss, i always go to Michaels (an art supply store). as opposed to the bags the pet stores sell for nearly $10, they sell big old bags for about $2 a piece. pet store stend to have a lot of overpriced stuff, stuff that people can often buy elsewhere for a lot cheaper, and perhaps can even build themselves.

yeah, micheals thats exactly where i got this stuff, i was just messing with it and that bamboo is dyed greem and the dye was all on my hands after so im just going to throw it away i dont know if i put it in there and mist it if the dye gets in the water and they drink it, may be no big deal but why chance it.

to the steelers fan ill see you in the playoffs! dont pack your bags though you wont be staying lol

in the crafts section they have regular thin bamboo. comes in 4-6 pieces in a bundle and it's a tan with black/brown rings just like it is naturally.
i put quite a lot of it in my lined leaftail gecko cage.

We have a store here called Hobby Lobby where they have good quality plastic-coated fake vines, although they aren't cheap. I've gotten some of the poor-quality cloth ones, but the dye does come off, so I won't use them because, like you say, why risk it. The plastic-coated ones are so much easier to clean off with running warm water and soap, too. I always wash everything before I start using it so I can gauge the quality. If it disintegrates, then I know it's garbage.
