Feeding Question

rellim Nov 21, 2004 12:29 PM

I had a question about feeding that i needed some help with. I have had my boa for about 3 months now and had been feeding him live mice so far. I know that some people will want to ring my neck for doing so but i think i learned my lesson. Today he had some trouble killing the mouse and the mouse started biting back so i flicked it in the face really quick and i think i knock it out cold. Im convinced now that dead mice would be a better option but wanted to know how i should kill the mouse without feeling all too cruel.

THEIR IS SEVERAL WAYS OF DOING THIS BUT i HAVE FOUND THAT THE BEST AN LESS MESSIEST WAY IS TO TAKE A PEN OR SCREW DRIVER,AN PUT IT BEHIND THE MOUSE OR EVEN RAT'S NECK AN APPLY PRESSURE AN GIVE A GOOD PULL ON THE MOUSE OR RAT'S NECK AN BINGO IT'S DONE!CAUTION THOUGH IF YOU PULL TOO HARD YOU WILL RIP THE MOUSE OR RAT'S TAIL OFF,LOL!Eric[HypoBOA] [E&C'S EXOTIC HOUSE OF REPTILES]

Maybe you should give your boa some smaller prey. You can kill the mouse by holding its head and to pull its tail
