Hi this is my first time every posting here but im a regular on the boa forum. I own a boa constrictor and things are going very well with him. I really like these monitors and i am thinking about getting one but im not sure which species would be best. Generally the smaller would be better but im more worried about which kind would be the best for somneone new to monitors. Im just worried about having one that is going to get huge and i wont be able to care for it. (huge to me is over 4' in length) Thanx for any advice.

get an 'ackie', Varanus acanthurus. Captive bred, don't get huge, don't spend all of their time hiding from you.
