Camera Recommendations

lizard_lover Nov 21, 2004 02:40 PM

Well, my plans to borrow a camera to take pictures of my new babies don't seem to have panned out. Though I was hoping to avoid the expense, purchasing a camera may be my only option.

Can anyone recommend a camera that's good for photographing such small subjects but doesn't cost a great deal of money? I would prefer digital, but I'm not too choosy.

Thanks!

well, i have no idea about the cameras but i can tell you how to shop go to froogle.com and you can search for thousands of things and you can select for it to list the things by price, so it always tells you really good prices.
also there is overstock.com i have never looked at technology on there but they have good prices also and really cheap shipping. so once you find out the name of a camera, you can check the prices on those sites

Personally i recommend you the Canon A75. It has a great macro capability and nto too bad for the price. I have several magazine that give the A series of Canon a great reviews.

Thank you both for the suggestions.

I like Canon, too. I'll be sure to give the A75 a good lookover.

I've been using a Nikon coolpix 4500 for the past year and it's treated me pretty well. I will upgrade someday but for now, it works great. Super macro, and lenses can be added. I believe Eve uses this one as well.
