I have a Painted turtle that is not sheding its scutes that great. What I mean is, it is coming off in little peices but the shell looks bad. My Red-Bellied turtle has a few white blotchy spots on its carapace but it isn't shell rot. The spots are not soft and this turtle also is not sheding its scutes correctly. I'm not sure what it is, I have been scrubing it with nolvasan but have not yet seen an improvement.
When they are not sheding correctly does it mean? Or is their anything I can do to improve this? Or does anyone know what I am talking about with these white spots?
