Do Butlers come in Albino?

Fleck Nov 21, 2004 05:52 PM

I am new to garters though have been eyeing this forum since I decided to get garters.
I am interested in Butlers due to their small size as adults compared to other garters. I want to house a sexed pair in a 30 gallon tank and prefer smaller garters as I enjoy giving them room and nicely decorating the tank with driftwood, etc.

I have not been able to find any pics of Butlers in albino which leads me to think they do not so figured I would ask.
Thank you.
Fleck

I'm not sure if anyone's breeding them, but there's a picture of an albino butler's garter in the book "THE ATLAS OF SNAKES OF THE WORLD" by John Coborn.

Actually, I got three Butlers, I use to have a whole lot. I caught two pregnant females, they gave birth--and I kept two of the babies. One died, for she was born weak, the other I can't really tell if it's a male or female--hoping it's a male because I plan to breed it with the other female I have.

More people should have butlers, they are so sweet and they'll just about never bite you( if they do bite you, it doesn't hurt); they rather run instead!
