Where in Columbus?.......

mmfrankford Jul 01, 2003 06:08 AM

Hello everyone. Well I live here in Columbus Ohio and the reptile show here got raided by the Division of Wildlife. It was shut down so I was unable to pick up mice for my corns. They have enough for a little awhile but my question is does anyone know where a good place is to get fresh
frozen mice. Especially in the Columbus and or Dayton area. I'd prefer frozen but I'm seriously thinking about raising mice especially if the reptile show is shut down for good. I'll
have to see next month what happens. Thanks.

Are your corns big enough for rat pups?? If they're taking full grown mice I'll assume they are..It'd be easier and far less a problem to breed rats. Mice take forever for proper sizes to be reached, where rats...a few days to 3 or 4 weeks for a corn...Depending on how many corns you have...a female rat can produce you 10-15 babies every 4 or so weeks (in theory..some months would be, some less. I had 3 females drop 40 pinks in a week) My Savannah Monitor, at 10 inches, is big enough to take 2 day old rat pinks.

I have a five and a half foot female corn and a very quickly growing two and a half foot male corn.
