Snow x Hypo Het Anery / Het Albino (triple Het) Results?

boastud Nov 21, 2004 11:07 PM

I was doing the cross, and this is what the offspring should be:

Albino het Snow
Anery Het Snow
Double Het Snow
Hypo Triple Het
Snow
HYPO SNOW
Ghost Het Albino
Sunglow het Anery

My main question is would the Hypo Snow show any difference between a normal snow?

Im not sure if anybody is currently working on this or not.

A Hypo Snow is a Sunglow without red, or a Ghost without Black!

Of course it is all guess until they are born!

I think the hypo snow will have a lighter base body color and there will be a reduced pattern compared to a normal snow. Most importantly, the hypo gene should make the snows much more viable than they currently are.

elaborate on the snow viability?

Thanks

It is just my opinion that the hypo gene which seems to create very hearty animals will strenghten the snows. To this point some of the snows produced every year don't do well or die; this is not to say that all of them do but alot tend to have big bellies and not do well. I think getting the hypo gene into these animals will greatly increase their viability and once hypo snows are produced I expect to see an increase in the production of snows. This year we saw alot of people produce sunglows which I think is the same idea where the hypo gene is making the creation of albinos easier and the sunglow babies seem to do really well. Time will tell but I think the hypo snows are going to greatly enhance the snow project.
