Elizabeth,

I am so sorry to hear that. It's so much worse when it is your first. You took such good care of her that I am sure you made her life much better while she was with you.

Bless you for all the little MHDs you have cared for and rescued!

Doc said that its probably the same infection she had before that never fully went away

my biggest fear is that I was too agressive and gave her to much food or fluids and she was uncomfortable. I picked up the temp in the room for her, but could not get the humidity up enough that she did not look dry all the time. I was spraying her 3 times a day (annoyed the other dragons to no end, they were scratching their heads each time)

Don't worry Tripod seems to be doing great, I thought I saw him try to climb on a female a few days ago, but she climbed out from under him (yes he looked like he was wrapped around her, the missing leg was the down side) There can be hope, as long as they are active, and eating. From now on I am taking them in just as soon as I think something might be wrong.

I have fish in the water again, and even am using a fishnet to get the dirt out. Its all coir, so I just turn off the filter and swirl it up, and strain the water, (like when I make chicken soup) and dump damp coir in the substrait pan

Did I tell anyone I got a new B-Python?
he is a Pastel, and going to be Smo'ores Boyfriend (I hope)

He sure is Perty though!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I've read all your posts, and you were doing everything for her. And in the end, all you really have is the satisfaction of knowing how hard you tried.

I still wonder and second guess, but you have helped me feel better about what I was able to do

My Vet said something he heard from a Chamelion Specialist down south, that I am going to try to remember; When they are sick you can treat them over a course of treatment, but you need to do the assessment daily to change with the view you see.

My take on this is that I should, in the future, for the feedings and fluids, go day to day in how much I think they need. They do not eat daily all year round, so maybe feeding 2x a day was a bit much after 3 days, and just fluids (for some of those feedings) would/could have been a better approach. all of this is hind sight, but maybe it can be added to the pool of experience we have here, and we can start to learn from and with each other (as we have been)

I want to thank each and every person on here for their advice and support, not just of me but of every other person on here.
