Thoughts on Thanksgiving traveling with a baby

purduecg Nov 22, 2004 08:31 AM

So, I am trying to determine what to do with Mosca over the Thanksgiving holiday, but I am not sure what will be the least stressful for him.

One option is to take him with me to Wisconsin. I could bring his lights and I still have an extra tank at my parents that he could stay in while he is there.

Option two is to leave him at my house with Archie (the adult mali). A friend of mine comes in and feeds the pets once a day, but she doesn't really stay and watch them at all, so I am just a little worried that if he hid because something was wrong she wouldn't even realize it. Though of course Archie could do this too, I think they are a lot more "stable" as adults.

Option 3 is to see if my herp vet would let me "board" Mosca over the holiday, but he doesn't have any experience with babies, and I am sure they will just go in once a day to feed their adult Uro and that would be it...

So what is everyone's thoughts?

well, how long are you going to be gone? if it is just for a few days, i don't think anything could happen to mosca since he would most likely be showing signs of it now.
are you driving to wisconsin? because they won't let him on a plane trust me i have checked out every airline and have been told no by all of them.
if you want to show him off then you could take him with you. helga went across the country twice this summer and she is fine!

well i tried finding out last year when i only had three collared lizards. they are rather tiny and silent so i was amazed too.
i was told we just don't let them (with no reason) and that they are considered a threatening and dangerous animal. i was rather ticked off and told them that "i concider dogs threatening and dangerous and you have no problems letting them on a plane" i don't really, i just wanted them to feel bad too, ha ha.
