Licorice pics and a question

Kevin Saunders Nov 22, 2004 10:28 AM

I thought I'd share some pics of Slim, my licorice black rat starting with a baby pic up to a recent one. He's right at a year old now and stopped feeding a few weeks ago. He's still active and doesn't appear to be losing weight, but it's been about a month since his last feeding and I'm starting to worry a little. The only cause I can think of is the change of seasons. He used to feed fine, but I can't even get him to take mice scented with chicken broth now. I thought for sure that would entice a stubborn ratsnake. Anyway, just wondering if you guys have any suggestions or if you think it probably is a seasonal thing. Here's a pic taken shortly after I got him.

This was several months ago, during the summer I believe.

Here's the most recent. I got him at the November Columbus, OH show last year and I plan to go to it again this weekend. I'd like to get a female for him, but I'll just have to see how it goes. Thanks for looking.

I don't know why he went off feed, I just wanted to say that your snake is really cool, and that I hope things work out for him.
