shakey legs?

jheep Nov 22, 2004 01:15 PM

Last night, I noticed my blizzard's front legs were a bit shakey when she raised them while she walked. Should I be worried? I got her in September and was told she was 3 or 4 months old.
I looked up symptoms for MBD and didn't find anything that matched what she was doing. She doesn't twitch or anything like that and her limbs look fine. Her front legs just shake a little when they're in air as she's walking. I have a cap of calcium in their enclosure. I have her with an albino jungle and a hypotangerine carrotail and they're doing fine.

my leopard does that too. I don't think it's bad, he looks in peak condition. But i don't actually know, i just thought u might feel better if you know other's are doing it too.

It may just be normal leo behavior, they do sometimes seem to have a little shake in their walk. It may still be MBD though, my leo showed very few signs of MBD when I first took him to the vet and he still didn't make it

This site http://www.drgecko.com/mbd.htm is the most informative site I have found regarding leopard gecko health.

Good luck with your leo. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

Thanks. At least I know mine isn't the only doing it.
