Mixing question

ekrz44 Jul 01, 2003 08:12 AM

I have a couple of anoles and was wondering if there were any other phibs I could put in there habitat (20 gallon tank w/plenty of real plants). Thinking about frogs etc.
Any opinions/help is appreciated.

No there aren't any that can live with the anoles, because the anoles are aggressive. If you search on this forum you will find about 4 or 5 other people who want to mix stuff.

I know of multiple people who have successfully kept anoles in a community setup over the long term. one keeps 2 males with house geckos and long-tailed lizards. another has an anole with a green tree frog and a hermit crab. both are in well planted tanks, and the first one has been established for about a year. so it may be possible, but generally frowned upon by purists.
