im starting from the beginning. my female laid 2 eggs ( her second clutch)put in the incubator at 82 deg.3 weeks later i gradually put up to 88-89. the humidity was between 80-85% at all times. last week the eggs swelled up . they were about an inch and a half long. well yesterday one of the eggs started to sweat and i posted asking when it would hatch( because they only looked maybe an inch long). anyway i checked on the eggs in the am and they both were colapsed like they were gonna hatch!!this was at 6 am . have been watching all day and nothing. so i decided to help.the one that was sweating was dead it had what looked like pee( white) in the sac. and only an inch long. the second one was also i believe dead but moves its tail every once in a while. not much though. also only an inch . definantly not developed fully!!! today was 43 days!! can some one please help me out so this doesnt happen again. thanks for any help!!!

I'm very sorry about your eggs, that's not cool. My opinion (for what it's worth) is that sometimes the temperature fluctuations such as you described can cause the developing embryos to have problems. I tried the same incubation technique that you are trying and I had nothing but problems, lots of bad eggs, dead babies and deformities. Very, very sad. My advice to you would be to incubate for female between 80-82 and incubate for male at 89-90.

I know there have been many discussions on this forum about egg incubation this year. I must say that for the most part they have been very intelligent discussions and I for one welcome that type of banter on this forum. By no means do I know all there is to know about leopard gecko egg incubation so really all I can offer is my opinion about what I have experienced.

Best of luck with your geckos! Keep us posted!
