i was told when i got my bp that i should soak her every know and then when she is shedding well i was wondering should i wipe her off with a towl or put her in her cage still wet.

I just mist the snake in its cage when mine are in shed...works just fine..

i mist mine also and mine all have perfect sheds. when they clear i'll handle them and mist them a couple times in my hand. never had one soak on its own.
