problem with baird?

jtclark Nov 22, 2004 09:25 PM

Well my baird has been acting a little different for the last 2 weeks and something happened tonight that bothered me.

She went off food 2 weeks ago which didn't seem like a problem. I know it is that time of year. Before this she had been very active and I saw her cruising around her cage everyday. A week before she went off food she started hiding under the paper towels which line the cage with the aspen on top of it. She did not move from here which is on the cool side.

I didn't worry about this until today. She has been out again the last few days so I decided to try and feed her again. I had seen her out about an hour before I tried to feed her. She was hidden by the time I took her out and when I lifted the paper towels to get her out she was upside down. I was not worried until this.

Should I be worried about finding her on her back? This is one thing I have not heard of in the 15 months I have spent on these forums. I may be overreacting, and I thought I was fine until finding her upside down.

Should I worry? Any advise or is this no big deal?
