I'm 17 and this is my first snake and i absolutely love him. He has some shed on the tip of his tail thp; can i let him hang out on the shelf in the shower to help with it? Is the humidity bad or good for them? He is a leucistic texas rat snake

humidity can be good and bad. to much and they can get scale rot. to little and they can have shedding issues...like yours is having.
my corn snake had that problem with the tip of its tail. just moisten the tip a little and you should be able to slip it off...if it hasn't been to long since the rest of him shed.
i doubt your snake will just 'hang out' in the shower. most likely will try to go somewhere.
Well he's very mellow so he would explore a bit but not go everywhere. I think I'm just going to soak him in the tub for about twenty minutes tomorrow and try and get it off. His tail tip is very hard, so I assume that unshed skin is what it is but if soaking doesn't work I'll probably have to take him into the vet.
Water that feels nice and warm to you can be hot enough to kill a snake. Make sure you actually measure the water temp if you are going to do this.

Whats a good water temp? When I've filled other snakes tubs I just use lukewarm water, but is there an ideal temperature for it to be?

ROFLMAO.... well , I won't argue that he is mellow. But if you turn your back for 5 minutes I garuntee that snake will mellowly crawl down the drain or overflow drain and you'll never see him again.
I've lost my share....
