Red-tailed green ratsnake, Price?

ihm Nov 23, 2004 12:19 AM

I have an adult pair of Gonyosoma oxycephala and want to know what they are worth. I'm not selling them. I simply can't find any for sale online to get an idea of their going price.

Thanks,
Jessica

That's a tough question. A couple of weeks ago WC females were selling for $55 each. That's the lowest price I've seen available to the public in many years. On the other hand, babies hatched from eggs produced by gravid imports recently sold for $400 per pair. They sold quickly so I assume true captive bred and born specimens would sell for even more.

And that's just for green specimens. The silver/yellow animals fetch an even higher price.

So it really depends on the color of your specimens, whether they are captive bred, or how well established they are if WC.

Current snakes:

1.1 Gonyosoma oxycephala - (Silver/Yellow)

3.4 Gonyosoma oxycephala - (Green)

2.1 Gonyosoma janseni - (Black)

Thank you, I paid 105$ for the pair with a second subadult female. They are green phase, eating, and wormed, i think they are great.
