Ive had many reptiles before as pets but never and amphibians. Well i was walking at my local exotic pet shop and was like hey.. they just got a bunch of new pacman frogs in. So I said why the not and got one. I got it a 10 gallon tank for it to grow in, a water dish and a slightly bigger dish to hold some guppies in, a heatpad to stick to the back of the tank, big root tangle looking thing for it to hide under, and a bag of terrarium moss sense it holds water so well and lets them dig in it.
Well the heat pad heated my tank up wich helped allot but I left the incodecent light on cause it puts my tank about 74-78F and also builds up a bit of moister on the tank walls as well as keeps it very humid and the pacman frog seems to like it.
Well heres a few questions i got.
1: I know there not picky eaters but should i just place a few crickets in there and leave them till there gone or remove them if he dosent eat them.
2: is it ok to leave the incodecent lights on i herd it can dry them out but with how humid my tank is i think he will be ok.
3: I dont expect them to move allot but mine seems to just chill in one spot. Hes only a baby and its only been about 24 hours sense I had him but I would expect him to at least explore the tank, he was burried in some moss but when i droped a few crickets in he moved into a water dish in quite haste i might add.
Last but not least how big should they be in about inches before i feed him pinkies.
