She's an August 04 baby. She's an Illinois locale. Super tame. I kinda wish she'd hiss once for me though! I'm feeding her 2 hoppers a week.

I feel like I have a unique bullsnake...never seen any others like her on this board. I guess most like the lighter bulls, but I love the darkness and her solid eye stripe! She also has some nice red hues down towards her tail.

I've been following your posts, and I'm quite sure of the background of your female, just not sure if yours is a sister to my male, or my female. I bought a pair direct from the breeder. Who sells to different stores in the area out there. Anyhow, yes, they are still neat and unique! And yes, the dark color, and that broad black band in the nose area are attractive. Thanks for posting pictures! I posted pics of my two a while back. So here's my female again.

I love the dark snakes (no offense to the light colored ones).

Thanks! I've wanted a bullsnake for years ... finally I've got the space to house one. She's quickly becoming my favorite even though I've had my other snakes for five years. They're awesome, but I really like how alert, curious, and friendly Bandit is. I just can't wait for her to get big.

Hi,
I bought my pair of Kankakee, Illinois locale bullsnakes from John Meltzer, who lives in Minnesota. I visit him every now and then, and happened to visit in Sept. And he had three tubs of baby bullsnakes, and two were Kankakee locale babies. And the one, the female, really caught my eye, just something about that broad nose stripe that appealed to me over the albino gopher and bulls that he also had recently hatch. So one from each tub came home with me. Here is my male. The background on these is not so light as it shows, as the camera washed out their background color a bit. So more a light gray rather than white background. But yes, still a very dark appearing snake. John can be gotten a hold of at rjreptiles1@msn.com and maybe he has some left? As he had a LOT to sell!

Wow - that male of yours looks a lot like my female. I'll email him sometime and see for sure if my animal is from him. I would have to say so. I'd like to see her parents too and see what an adult looks like. Have a happy Thanksgiving!!

Hey Russel,

Good lookin' snake there! I'm in Mankato, MN - the shop here gets his animals from a pretty big breeder, not sure exactly where he is from though, but he has some nice animals. Luckily the manager at the shop here is a snake owner, so all the animals get awesome treatment.
