ok so a few care sheets and books i read before getting a beardie said that a hide box is a must... ive never seen my beardie in it once! actually the day before i got him i ran tests of my cage turned the lights on and moved the thermometer to diff places in the cage for a 24 hr period.. the area around the hide box is the coolest at about 88 during the day and about 78 at night... but he usually sleeps in the leaves directly under the ceraminc heater wich is about 90 degrees at night. usually during the day he climbs up to the basking spot which is about 105-108 during the day..and has been known to sleep there which is about 90-95 degrees at night... anyone else have a beardie that just loves the hot spots? also does anyone elses beardies actually use a hide box?
