whats the minimal caging size requirements for a common chuck in inches?...

i just wanted some varied opinions, length width and height. i know some people get jerky and say one chuck needs a hundred gallons, but thats just obsurd and we are not all that rich... thanks in advance for any replies. nick.

6-8 sq feet floor space.
I have a tank that is 4 feet long and 18" deep and 22 inches high.

The floor space in my in inches is 48"x18" = 864 inches.

I would not go any smaller than this. I keep 2 females in this set up and they do use all of the space.
