well, my one eyed monster is still growing, and proved today that hes always hungry. i was going to snap some inhand shots, and he caught a whiff of pine snake and mouse and turned my hand to mush. strong snake with a strong sense of smell. i scrubbed my hands with soap and water 20 min prior to handling him. i love him to death, hes a character!

ive been told its a suwannee eastern king, which i believe is a florida eastern king with some floridana influence, yet is an eastern king. im not up on all the details of these kings. ask keith, i believe he knows more than i do. that said, cyclops is my buddy, and is great around kids and people who usually are intimidated by snakes. hes really big, and really friendly. last time i measured him in april or so, he came out to 5'8", and hes grown quite a bit since then, ill have to redownload serpwidget and see what hes up to now. im willing to bet he can break the 6 foot mark.

thanks for looking

If that is the same snake I think it is. I almost got it. When she put it up for sale at first the ad read "Outer banks king"
I emailed and told her of the mistake and was about to grab him anyway, when SOMEONE beat me to it! I wonder who????
Great to see he's in a good home.

Great to hear that he's doing so well!!! I saw that snake on the classifieds and thought a little too long about getting him, LOL! Are you going to get him a girlfriend soon? He'll father some nice offspring. (You would have to hibernate (brumate) him this winter though . . .) Keep us posted on his progress! Love those big Easterns/Goinis/brooksis!!!

yea, ever since ive got him ive been looking for another suwannee female, but to no avail. it sucks, but i really want to hold out for a match. he will certainly make some nice offspring, so ill keep my eyes sharp.

You make sure you let me know when you find a female for yours, so I can be the first on the waiting list for some babies! That form you have occurs in Duvall county, Florida. I have seen some that looked similar to cyclops from that locale. If you keep your eyes open for anyone selling a Kingsnake from that area, you might find what you're looking for! (I will too - and let you know)GOOD LUCK
