Possibly a stupid question...

...but I might as well ask anyway, since I'm a relative newbie and don't know. Anyway, I've heard of people being able to put some kind of a harness/leash on beardies and take them for a walk(like a dog). Is this true, and if so, what kind of leash? I'm embarassed to say I was going to actually try a ferret harness before I realized it was too narrow(and found out about this place).

Some people do use leashes on their beardies. Personally I've found that the figure 8 design used for rats/ferrets/iguanas with the thin nylon cord works best. They are adjustable and dont catch on the side spikes. The leather full chest harness are hard to fit and rub.

They don't seem to mind it at all! Works great for us. I got it about 6 years ago at Pet smart.

I dont use a harness or leash. Even at 5 months my beardie just calmly sat on my shoulder in the summer. I took her in bjs homedepot petsmart(where i werk) and petco.

This always makes me think of the time i took one of my many "pet" lizards (the kind running amuck her in Florida) to school in my pocket one day and he jumped off my shoulder and a little boy stepped on him! i was devistated! I think I'm gonna try a leash too! lol! (although it wasn't funny then )

Not sure why I felt the need to share that story?!?!?!
