aquarium salt

golfdiva Nov 23, 2004 07:29 PM

Does anyone put aquarium salt in their turtle tanks? I just started using it a few weeks ago and it really seems to be making a difference!

It keeps the algae down nicely and the turtles' shells are taking on a nicer color!

I also use not only aquarium salt...I use kosher salt, table salt.
Just a little...more for the iodine content.

Cool! Thanks for answering. I had not heard of this before, but my snapper's shell in particular is starting to look really nice!
