122 degree basking (really impressed with the 3 45 watt halogens.)

funny enough, i dont have one! I decided to build the cage and then purchase the monitor so i was fully prepared. I am still looking for a big one to fill the cage. If you know someone that has a nice tame male or female, let me know.

I have some big ones but you cant have them. they are mine hahaha

I do have some small ones, I am sure there are some nice big ones around someplace. If your looking for tame ones thought you'll have fewer choices and price will be higher.

Why not go with a small one and raise it up? They grow quick and in the meantime it can get used to you and you can gear it to be what you want. Sometimes the big tame ones act differently in a new enviroment and become not so tame for the new owners.

Good luck with it,

Jody

you are correct in your ideas, but i really am looking for one that someone has to get rid of that needs a good home. I am actually talking to the guy that had the one posted on this forum, she was the 5 ft female that was puppy tame. I did not want to pay 1300 for her because with shipping i would be looking at 1450 or so. I think we have worked out a good deal on her and i hope she will be comming to my house today to fill the void in my new cage. She is not too big and has bred before, not interested in breeding, but just a pet. If all goes well, i will post pics of her in the new cage. thanks for the advice. How big are your big guys?

It took about 2 days, i am pretty handy, been in construction for the first 10 yrs of my career. So far so good, she is supposed to be here via delta around 530 or so. I will let ya know.

I know what you mean, i had my last one for about 5 yrs and it was about 6 ft, it was a female. The person that i got it from before fead it too much of the wrong stuff and it decreased her life. I waited for a while and now i am ready for another.
