That appears to be a tanzinian(commonly imported) female whitethroat. Tanzinians, are normally called banded, but then some South african banded capes are not banded either. Cheers FR

thanks frank, whatever the locality it is a awesome specimen, fecals came back negative and it is eating like a champ, more than likely imported but well taken care of none the less. So im assuming this one will attain a large size unlike the banded capes? these are by far my favorite monitors to work with so far, i know there is alot out there but for now these guys are choice.

they are both doing good, both are very shy, and defensive, getting pooped on is a regular occurence when i move them for cage cleaning. the bigger one is kind of mean, trying to bite at all costs, im keeping her with my male blackthroat and that is working out good, she actually pepped up some and comes out more in the open since i introduced him. all is good. thanks for asking.
