Cages within tanks

kungfu28181 Jul 01, 2003 11:08 AM

Could I have a pac man in a ten gallon, with 2 other critter keepers with tiny little pac-man in them? They would be small critter keepers. My other pac man doesn't take up hardly any space at all.

You mean like put the critter keepers in the tank? You could, but the frogs would get stressed. They would constantly see each other and could try to eat each other. Hitting the glass could cause problems...stress the frogs as well. And besides, even a baby horned frog needs a 5-10 gallon tank.

That would stress the big one out too much. The little ones' movements would be interpreted as them being something edible. I'd keep them each in their own 10g tank, it seems the littler ones are more active and appreciate multiple hide spots and water bowls so bigger is better.

The only way i would do that is if I had all the sides covered so the frogs can't see each other and stress each other out, becuase they will try to eat each other regardless of whether or not they are hungry. Personally I think you should just get the extra 10 gallon aquariums for them and get the extra room. If you don't it will be bad for them in the long run.
