Greetings,

Does anyone use Duckweed in their tank?

My RES is about 3-4" and I'm look for something to decorate and help maintain the tank.

It says it grows fast, so will it keep up with the turtle eating it? Is it a good replacement for veggies? Will it help keep the tank any cleaner? Any other suggestions?

during the summer i put it in my pond. i have 3 RES and 3 eastern painted turtles and true it does grow fast but not fast enough to keep up with the turtles. i have to grow it in another pond and throw it in. for one turtle you sould be fine.

My cooter loves duckweed. I grow it in a different tank, and when I put it in with the turtle he eats it within a couple of hours.
