My pair of females almost ready for brumation.

*Update: the big female in foreground previously had lost contol of rear limbs and was failing rapidly. Soon the 2nd female had "lazy leg"-- the only conclusion I could reach was that a diet exclusively of preserved (not dusted) crix had starved them of essential nutrients! The convenience of tweezer-offered items had me falsely thinking this was enough.

I immediately expanded diet w/ live crix and dusted w/ vitamin/calcium. Moths figured in also. Amazingly, the crippled frog recovered; along with the other female. They both climb again and hunt actively! I attribute the quick recovery to vitamin dust.

A warning to all-- get lazy, & over-confident in care; and your frogs will needlessly suffer.
