cricket ordering

GeckGirl Jul 01, 2003 11:30 AM

Hi everyone,
I posted a similiar post way below, probably gone by now, but didn't get any responses. I guess I'll try again. LOL. Is there any suppliers out there that will automaticall ship a certain quanity of crickets each week/2 weeks, etc? I'm assuming you can pay each month, or they will add it to your credit card. Not too sure. Any supplier references will help me out. Thanks!
......the reason I ask is because I live 30 minutes ffrom the closest cricket supplier. :O)

Hmm.. Im not sure but I am in the same scenerio as you and what I do is.. I buy 1000 Crickets from herpfood.com I buy them a little smaller than what my leos eat because the crickets will grow. Right now I only have 2 leos and 1000 crix will last a while so I keep them in a big rubbermade cont. and feed them everyother day and water them daily so that I dont have to make trips to the pet store out of town and that many keeps me leos going for a while! Hoppe that helps.

I buy my crix from Southern Crickets in MS although I live in California. Their crix are always clean and I've never have problems with any of the shipments. They can set up a standing order for you which is what I do. I get 2000-1/2" crix from them every 2 weeks. They ship it to me automatically and charge it to my credit card.

I don't think suppliers will automatically ship to individuals...maybe to businesses who need it though. You might just have to buy in bulk or order them as you need them. Might I suggest mealworms??? You can buy in bulk and they keep for much longer than crickets.

Call Chris Grooms of Grooms' crickets 866-874-2514. I bet if you give him a CC they will ship every two weeks or whatever. We call and place our order and they have our CC on file. I have never asked him about auto ship, but I bet they will do it.
Good Luck

herpfood.com will do it. you pay for ten boxes at a time and can either have a standing order, get them all at once, or whatever
