I would like to get as much information about what differentiates the two.I have purchased two pairs from Jack Dyer(original breeding pair of "97s" and an "03"pair.I have also purchased a trio that was Dennis Sargent stock,"96"female,"99"female hypo(gorgeous)and a 2000 "male".The Sargent group are Roatan Island "Firebellies",the Dyer group are"Mainlands".The Sargent group came with a copy of the original receipt from Dennis himself.The person I bought them from is IMO,credible.One problem,THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE,except the hypo for obvious reasons.There is even mention of an individual by the name of Bob Harding on the Sargent receipt and that is who Jack Dyer got his animals from.Maybe someone can clear this up for me.Maybe the primary players can come and straighten this out.Thanx and Happy Holidays Marcus aka "Hogglover".P.S Tommy I know you cant stand the extra "G",but were still on the same team bro.(lol)

LOL!! Dont sweat the "G" thang Bra`h ! Its a lemming thing that the mass's are determined to see thru to eternity I guess ?
As for your recent purchase "Congrats !!" glad you have some quality Hondurans. Both forms are not everyday common BCI like Hog`s,Nic's and other assorted Columbo`s.Sorry to hear that they all look the same Sounds as if you have all mainland forms.
If you had Roatan Fire you would know it in a second.The mention of the hypo also leans toward the mainland form. There isnt a recorded hypo pure Roatan to date.
FWIW Dyer got his stock from Dennis Sargent so their actually not Dyer line per'say nor are they Sargent line. They should actually be "Harding Line" from Bob Harding who was the first to breed what was imported by Tommy Crutchfield.So Crutchfield line wouldnt be outta the question at all.Dennis got his stock from Bob Harding and coined the term "FireBelly" Jack Dyer never called or sold his stock under the term,name or reference as FireBelly Boa`s.
There was a clown show breeder that crossed the Roatan/mainland and went straight to market with them under the name of "FireBellies"note the spelling)the name was picked up in the "exact" same way the double G spelling is common now when referenceing the "Hog Island BCI"People breeding the Mainlands bred by Dyer jumped on the "FireBellies" bandwagon and "exactly" like the Hogg wave they had no clue what they were selling muchless how to correctly spell it.
So as far as you actually having Roatans,I believe someone has blown some smoke up your stack on that one ?
If the others are in fact Jack Dyer Line pure Mainland Hondurans,theres no way there can be Roatans that look like mainlands.
Roatans have different head mass,eye mass,scale mass and overall body mass when compared to the pure mainland forms.My Roatans look like everyones elses pure Roatans and nothing like the Dyer line form. Surely we cant all be wrong in what we have documented all the way back to Tommy Crutchfield ?
We`ll discuss this in private and work out some of the other questions that need asked/answered,this isnt the place.
I would love to see a pic of that hypo !!!

Money Only Wished It Had The Control Over The World That FEAR Does !

I beleive,that what I have are the Mainland form.The similarity in color,size,head shape and ocular orbit are too strong to ignore.What I purchased personally from Jack Dyer is truly what he represented them to be,Mainlands bred by Bob Harding.My mind was clearly made up when I posed the question.Was interested though,in some of the facts behind the lineage of this BCI ssp(?).I do think there still needs to be some clarification by the parties involved.I have spoken to Jack Dyer and was impressed by his knowledge and straight from the hip approach.He is a pleasure to do business with(still waiting on that other female Jack)(LOL).I think the other group was not intentionally misrepresented,just some misinformation.Hope all is well and God Bless.Marcus
