The little things

billcherep Nov 24, 2004 01:07 PM

I find myself getting cought up in the morphs and the outcome of my breeding projects. Along the way there are so many things that I find myself getting extremely excited about. Like today a breeder female that I plan to breed late this year eat for the first time for me in a month. I purchased her and started to wonder if I was scammed and maybe she was a wild caught that had never eated in captivity. Watching her eat just got me so excited. I don't know maybe today I'm just to sentimental due to the Holidays. Have a great Thanksgiving all!

Bill, I'm not a holiday man myself, but I completely understand the "little things" excitement. The top "little things":

1. When they pip.
2. First meal.
3. First shed. (I don't care how sleek, or shiny they look at first, I'm more impressed with the color AFTER the first shed.)
4. Bringing home a new ___________. Fill in the blank with any morph, het. or normal (I'm still a sucker for a looker)
5. New "toys". Hemostats, racks, bowls. (not matter the size or cost, I can't wait to use it when I get home)
6. There's more....a lot more.
