Hey everyone, I got my first Uroplatus last night after 3 months of drooling over them on the internet. It's not the species that I really wanted, but I plan on keeping many of the species so may as well start the collection now. The phantasticus can come later. It was hard to turn down a CB male for 100 bucks here in Canada. It was in my home town so even better, no shipping. Anyways here he is.
His home, I plan on getting more foliage but just don't know what yet, open to suggestions. The substrate is coco fiber and peat moss. It's working great so far, never used coco fiber and I'm loving it. Sprayed him for 100 humidity last night and 12 hours later it is still 80. Not bad for living in Alberta where my room humidity is 40. Keeping Uroplatus in this province will be a challenge but I'm ready for it.

Here he is all pale today, trying to camoflauge into the wall, should be on his bamboo cause I can still see him!

Here he is all colored up last night when I first put him in his enclosure.

And here is his cute little face.

Hope you enjoy. Any tips would be helpful or suggestions for more foliage. I know the basics, I have read this whole forum through and some threads a couple times and any information I could find on the net regarding any species. I even translated the German stuff and read that haha. Let me know what you think!

, Shame ive been looking for another male for my collection... and of couse lots of females. Humidity is a challenge here, my little secret is to have a fish aquarium in the room with an external filter that dripps water and a temp of aprox 83 (in water) I also keep some chams in that room and use humidifiers for them. Good luck
Well, the guy I have them from has one CB male left and a LTC male. He's in Calgary, I can see if they're still available and email you his contact info. I dunno, up to you.
