Aquarium light for newt

Michelle1010 Nov 24, 2004 02:34 PM

What kind of light set up should I get for my son's Chinese firebelly newt? We have a screen top for the tank.

Just a regular aquarium fluorescent is fine. I keep mine on a timer so they have a steady day/night cycle.

You really don't need a light unless you have live plants that require a lot of light. Otherwise, I wouldn't use any light at all.
