The opposite of IMG?! Before pic......

chainsaw Nov 24, 2004 07:06 PM

This is a female I hatched this year. She just had her 5th shed...and lost color on the first 1/4 of her body?!Her sides are now grey, and the back pattern is washed out, reminds me of stonewashed jeans! Here's a pic of her after her 4th shed,I'll post one of her taken yesterday....not the best, but hopefully show's the difference!! Any ideas?!

it is a nice looking snake either way. if it fades more...it might have some potential.

Just wondering if anyone had seen something like this before?!I've seen IMG BP's,wondering if there was a condition that worked the opposite? Thanks for the kind words!

Keep on the observations. Might want to start makeing a picture journal with your snake displayed on various backgrounds for comparison (ie. black, white, etc) of each sheds change. Just make sure to take one picture on each background at least every time you take pictures.

Sounds like a good idea! She's the first of her clutch to reach 5 sheds(PIG!)so,I'm curious about her clutchmates! Her sudden color change really has me at a loss, especially considering her father is so dark! I'll try and update pics of her and her siblings,if anything else interesting developes.

She's in shed in the first pic.. Do you have a pic of her before she went into this shed?

chainsaw Nov 24, 2004 09:03 PM

She wasn't in shed in the first pic,I think it was just the lighting that made her eye's look that way. That pic was actually taken after a shed! But,here's a pic of her after hatching...

BPmachine Nov 24, 2004 09:15 PM

Roger... Look at her eyes in the first pic not in shed?? Now the second pic could just be the lighting....

chainsaw Nov 24, 2004 09:32 PM

Well,I remember taking that set of pics after they all shed....?My memory's not the greatest, but even in shed a snake look's lighter, right? Not sure what you're getting at.....just trying to get some feedback. This has kinda got me freaked a little!

BPmachine Nov 24, 2004 09:38 PM

Hey good luck...

Here is a pic of another IMG/Sulfer

TexHerper Nov 25, 2004 11:23 AM

This one started out normal looking. On about its 4th or 5th shed it turned almost azanthic, then began putting on the black, bright yellow & grey on the sides.
