Hello,I'm new to the forums here, though I've looked at a lot of posts here over the last couple months.I have just bought a lewisi hybrid(Blair stock-via Lynn Peterson). It's a female which is supposed to be 3 years old and a Cyclura Lewisi X Cyclura nubila caymanensis according to the paperwork.(which I am trying to get still)Lynn says it's more likely a lewisi X nubila nubila and no more than 75% at that.
I'm new to all this but she is pretty though.I suppose I need to research how to post a pic here and let you guys see what you think.I've raised and bred green iguanas years ago so I THINK I have a good idea of how to handle cyclura but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I didn't know that Lynn had a female he was parting with.

Welcome to the forum. I think you will find the people here pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Thank you! Yes,Lynn got her from a guy in Colorado in a trade. From what I can tell the fellow traded the Lewisi and some cash for a set of cornuta cornuta..yearlings I suppose.Lynn only sold it tome because he felt that it wasn't pure enough bloodlines for his taste.I just got lucky I guess, saw her on repitbid and had to have her.
So,about the mix, what do you think?

Hi,

I am the guy in Colorado who had to get rid of "Gypsy" as I called her. I am very glad to see that she went to such a good home. She was a fantastic animal that I had for 2 years. I got rid of her because when I moved I had to reduce my collection. I have always had 2 of everything but the male I had was about half the size of her and they could not be kept in the same cage. I put the male up for sale and Lynn contacted me about him. When he heard that I had 2 he was interested in both and we came to a mutual agreement. It was very hard for me to get rid of her but I am very happy with my yearling rhinos. I took very good care of her and she always had the proper diet with collard greens, mustard greens, mixed veggies and such. She absolutley loves bananas and unfortunately crickets. She only got crickets about once every month or 2 but she would come running for them. I was reading through the forum and saw the pics you posted and I just knew that was her. Good luck and take care of her and keep in touch. I can also get you her papers and whatnot. It is also possible that she might be 4 years old and not 3.

Thanks,

Eric
