i read in like three places sand keeps mites form coming and returning i got vita sand and reptisand no artifishall colors

my gartersnake bit me today lol i was rinsing the mite off off of him lolso now i have 2 holes in my mital finger

I don't know much about captive garter snakes, but I know we have plenty of them here. I do not think that sand would be good for them because it is no where near what they naturally live in. You may be better off keeping him/her on paper towels(correct me if I'm wrong).

I kept garter snakes for a couple years. Paper towels or aspen shavings is best. Give them a water bowl big enough to get into, or better, swim in.

i have kingsnakes that was what i was refering to and i have 1 gartersnake aka the beats he is soooo wild
