QUESTION ABOUT THE NUMBER THINGS IN SIGZ?!? (sorry lisa ;[ )

ok...i've been reading thru a [bleep]-load of posts and noticed that a ton of people have sig's such as the one below...

0.1 Hypo Leopard Gecko
0.1 Albino Leopard Gecko
0.1 Blizzard Leopard Gecko
1.0 Albino Pacman Frog
1.0 Lovebird (Tony)
1.0 Elkhound Cross (Otto)
0.1 Malamute Cross (Paris)
6.0 Bettas
(sorry lisa...i was reading your post to the poop question and yours was the final straw that made me ask...)

what exactly does all this mean? i've seen some like 0.0.1 and the like...

i'm so confused...lol thanks guys!!

here's another example that i saw in marla's sig...i noticed she has mutliple #'s seperated by multiple "."'s

currently: 0.0.9 catfish, 0.1 ferrets, 2.8.3 leopard geckoes, 0.0.13 oriental fire-bellied toads, and 0.2.0 sugar gliders

now this alone has completely confused me...i REALLY do not get this @ all...someone...please...i beg of you...help!! lol

0.1 = no males, 1 female
1.0 = 1 male, no female
1.0.1 = 1 male, 1 unsexed, no female...

it just means you don't have any of that kind. like, it wouldn't be as clear to say 1..3 as to say 1.0.3 (if you mean 1 male, no females, and 3 unsexed). also, usually unsexed means baby, but sometimes it can just mean you haven't determined their gender. for example, all of my catfish are adults, but they aren't breeding, so i don't know what gender they are for sure, since they aren't really visually sexable.

o, almost forgot, when people have only 2 spots (like 1.2), it means that it's just males.females . it's just a little less common to be selling unsexed in groups with sexed individuals, (requiring all three). (since unsexed usually just gets sold in groups or individually.)
