svinarsk Nov 25, 2004 10:22 PM

so i moved to san francisco. and my dad is taking care of my ig back home in chicago. he owned igs before so no one worry. he is healthier than ever and growing like mad. anyways... i wanted to bring back my green friend in the spring so he can live with me in sunny california. is there a way i can do this without hurting him or freaking him out? any suggestions would be great.

good looking. glad to be back.

Flying? Driving?

We've never taken Forest that far. He came from maybe 200 miles away. His owners had put him in a big cage & set that in the back of an SUV. He seemed in good spirits when he got here. We just opened the cage & let him come out on his own.

Since then I take Forest all over in the car. If we take the van, he lays on a towel on the dash. If in my car, he lays on the passenger seat (layed down flat) & when coming home from picking up my son at school, Forest lays on his lap & sleeps.

He's turned into quite the well traveled ig!

Cali-Chicago is a LONG trip. I dunno. Is your iggy big enough so you could stop by a park & let him stretch & walk around a bit during the day?

Don't know. Do others here travel with their igs like I do? I'd take Forest but again, he's pretty good at the car thing.

I was maybe thinking by plane but wouldnt the pressure be hard on him? He is a little over a year old. So he isnt that big. Hes prob a little over 2 feet from snout to tail. I need to get him over here because i miss him a lot. I hope this can work out somehow...

thanks a lot!
